Sunrise school 12 miles south of Hanley Hello, I was doing some research for a woodworking project of mine that is using my mom's old school as inspiration. She has told me many stories about this place over the years. I found your website very useful and thought I might reciprocate! The Sunrise school (District #521) was at least locally famous for the sunrise pattern above the front entrance. The building was burnt down in the 1990's, as it had become structurally unsound. Thanks, Randy Olson Blaxland, NSW, Australia See also: Sunrise School District Chapter - Ripples and Reflections - Hanley Hanley History Book Society online at Our Roots Nos Racines. Sunrise School District 521 formed December 18, 1911. The building was not erected until the spring of 1913 on SW Sec 7 Tsp 30 Rge 4 W of the 3 Meridian northwest of Kenaston, Saskatchewan. In 1946, the Sunrise School District consolidated with the Davidson School Unit. Nearby placenames which appear on the map. Hanley SE 1-31-4 W3 Hawarden N 23-28-5 W3 Kenaston NE 19-29-2 W3 |
