You can now find us at https://saskgenweb.ca/cansk/school. We're thrilled to announce that this labor of love will continue, and our webpages will be regularly updated at the new Domain.

Our commitment to documenting the rich history of one room school houses, cemetery and headstones, historical maps, and disappearing placenames remains unwavering. These records are invaluable for those tracing their genealogy or seeking historical insights into the past.

To support this endeavor, we've launched a Patreon community at https://www.patreon.com/SaskGenWeb. Your contribution enables us to maintain the new domain and web hosting, ensuring the continuity of this essential service for historians, genealogists, and the public.

I took a drive in the country yesterday and came across a monument marking the site of Regina View School 4607 located in the SW1/4 Sec.3, Tp.17, R19, W2M (See attached Google Earth Image and photos of the monument) In doing a search of the school I came across your Saskatchewan GenWeb site and found the school listing. The listing does not show a land location. I'm 99.9% sure that the one that I have listed above is correct. While I was taking the photos, an elderly gentleman drove up and we had a conversation about the monument and school. I didn't get his name but he lives 1/2 mile south of the monument. He was a student of the school in the mid 1930's. The school remained on the site until the early 70's and was sold to a farmer north of Pilot Bute to be used to store grain. The monument was erected by the gentleman himself some years later. Jim Wicks Regina, SK
