A school district map of Cadillac and area was printed before this school district came into existence. -The higher the school district number, the later in the era the school district was formed. HIGHWAY SCHOOL DISTRICT 4623 at north east quarter of section 31 township 9 range 13 west of the third meridian would be found north of Cadillac village situated at north west section 8 township 9 range 13 west of the third meridian. School District Maps

Note: Both the village and the school hosue are located in tsp 9 rge 13 W3, however they are within different sections within the 6 mile by 6 mile township. The school house is in a school yard situated within the NE quarter of Section 31, and the village would be on the NE quarter of section 8. See a township grid as below:
