Prairie Trails to Blacktop Page 284 Green Hill SD 497 incorporated in the spring of 1899, and the school house was built on NE 11 6 3 W2 the following year. After a fire in 1922, a new school building was erected SW 13 6 3 W2. Students were conveyed to Alameda in 1955. The school house was re-purposed as a home, and the school barn relocated, to be used as a barn on an Alameda area farm, where it burned down.
