Butterton School District Number 3729 From the chapter of the same name by A.L. Fuller In 1916 a petition was sent to form a school for 20 children in the district. The school building was erected on SE section 15 township 24 range 20 and opened in 1917 under the tutelage of Mrs. Elizabeth Hall. Students of Butterton district were bussed to the Bryn Mawr Consolidated School of the Cupar School Unit No 28 in 1956.
