I am researching my paternal grandmother's parents and ancestors and I have hit a snag with my grandmother's father. Charles Oswald James was married to Emily Walker, who died at age 29 (about 1915 - 1920"), a resident of
Carievale, Saskatchewan. After the death of their mother, my grandmother and her younger sister were fostered out to two different families and they never heard of their father again. I would really like to find out if anyone knows of Charles James and where I can find information on his birth/death date and if he remarried. My grandmother has passed away, however her younger sister (age 85) is still living and is very interested in knowing what happened to
her father. thank you.

Looking for Saskatchewan birth of daughter born to Jon H. Arnason and Kristin Jakobsdottir Lindal.  The birth was during 1914-16 - probably in 1915 or 1916.  Jon and Kristin never married and he returned to Iceland.
Krist"ns father was Jakob L"ndal, a farmer in Saskatchewan, and her mother's name was Krist"n "orvar"ard"ttir (Thorvadardottir) but the mother also probably used Lindal in Canada.
Sometime after the birth Kristin Lindal moved to BC. with her daughter.
Relatives in Iceland are looking for this daughter.

William and Eliza Graham Kincade had at least six children born to them in Adelaide Township, Middlesex, ON. Thomas (1845-1915), the only one known to have had children of his own, married Jermina Armstrong of Adelaide and moved to Huron County Michigan about 1878. Mary Elizabeth (1853-1926) married late in life and died in Balgonie, Saskatchewan. She and three of her brothers Angus (1854-"), Anthony (1849-"), and James (1847-") plus sister Letitia (1844-") moved to the Balgonie area around 1890 and stayed there until at least 1926 - probably dying there. Another brother George (born 1854) resided there in 1926 while, by that time, James had moved to Kincaid, Saskatchewan.

My name is Katherine Condon. I'm trying to locate a branch of my family that moved to Luseland, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1910. Names are: John H. Fellows (d. July 21, 1931) married to Eliza May Condon (b. May 8, 1859; d. June 23, 1942). Children: Fred, George, Maude, John (Jr), Herbert and Andy. Family lore is that they had a farm in Fairfax, MO where they grew peaches. They moved to Luseland where they owned a large wheat farm between 1910 and 1920. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Sincerely,
Katherine Condon

I am searching for information on the Smales family. They used to live in a small community of the same name between Regina and Saskatoon. I believe the head of the household was Tom Smales. They are related through my mother who is a Preston from Massachusetts. I remember them visiting with us when we lived near Lumsden in the early 1950's. Since I return to Sask. at least once each year I would very much like to get in touch with them.

CATLIN, Jedediah Canfield Drake, aka "Judd" and/or "J. C.,"  Lived in Scout Lake, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada in the early 1900's. I have a letter he wrote on June 20, 1916, postmarked Saskatchewan.  He had a son named Jessie CATLIN  who was living with him at that time.  Jessie Catlin married Grace______ and they had two sons.  They lived in perhaps Canora, Kamsack, Saskatchewan, Canada.  My family lost track of them in the 1960's.  I am doing our family history and would love to re-connect.  Will exchange information with any interested researcher.

I am seeking more information on the surname YOUREX.  My Yourex' came from Michigan to Minnesota and one went to Saskatchewan.  Fannie (COOTS) Yourex is seen on Minnesota state census with children William N., Mabel, Mary Jane and Minnie in 1875 and 1885.  There is no mention of husband/father whose name I believe was William J. Yourex.  Mary Jane married Charles BUSH in Detroit Lakes, MN in 1891 and later had two daughters, Cresenz and Juanita.  Fannie Yourex married Robert Bennett and moved to east-central Kansas, where Mary Jane and Minnie died of consumption.   Fannie raised Cresenz and Juanita.  Mabel died in California and William N. went to Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  I would like information on Fannie and her husband and William N.'s family.

Searching for Jakob L"ndal, a farmer in Saskatchewan, and his wife Krist"n "orvar"ard"ttir (Thorvardardottir). Kristin probably called herself Lindal in Canada.  It is known they farmed in Saskatchewan at least during 1914-15.  It would be nice to know where they farmed, any information about their deaths, etc. or about their daughter Kristin. Sorry I don't have a district or area where they were.  Is there a place where Icelanders congregated in Saskatchewan" Thanks, Bette

Young Saskatchewan Train Wreck in the mid 1940's  My grandfather Ralph Holm Mason was apparently involved in a train wreck sometime in the mid 1940's and I am looking for an exact date to start my search from or any other information regarding this event.  I haven't had much luck in locating when this took place, it doesn't seem to have been a major wreck.  Please contact me at my e-mail address if you have any information regarding this event.      Thanks  Darren Mason
