I'm interested in gathering information about the PATAGONIAN WELSH who immigrated to Saskatchewan in the early 1900's.  I've been able to trace the descendants of Reverend William T. MORRIS who was a member of this group and homesteaded near Atwater.  Any suggestions about historical studies, local newspapers or other members of this group would be appreciated.
Yours sincerely, Frances Ade

Greetings from Scotland!
I am trying to trace any descendants of some BEATTIE brothers who probably moved to Saskatchewan from Aberdeen, Scotland, between April 1904 and January 1908.
One brother Charles John BEATTIE, born 11 Aug 1874, died at Yellow Grass, SK, on 18 Jan 1908. Three other brothers were mentioned in their mother's Will in Aberdeen, dated 1927. They were: Edwin Newell Burnett BEATTIE, born 1 Feb 1877; Robert Alexander Bertram BEATTIE, born 18 Jul 1880; James Norman McKenzie BEATTIE, born 7 May 1882
In 1927 Edwin and James were said to be at "Strossach, Saskatchewan", and I think this may be Trossachs, which is quite near Yellow Grass. Robert was said to be in Ontario, but may have previously been in SK with his brothers.
Another brother, Ruben Rouallan Montagu BEATTIE, is not mentioned in his mother's Will, so may also have died by 1927, possible also in SK.
The father of all these BEATTIEs was Charles BEATTIE, an artist, who was  half-brother to my great grandmother, Annie Macdonald. I have much more information about the family to share with any interested descendants.
Thanks for any help, Ann Brignall
