The GenWeb common goal is the collection and distribution of genealogical data on the Web. Gratefully, researchers seeking Canadian roots find a plethora of Canadian information available on the Internet. The role of the Canada GenWeb Project is to assist researchers in locating this information, as well as to add new resources to the existing online data.

The provincial website is the gateway linking to the local regional areas therefore you can get closer to your area of research by visiting the regional GenWebs and connect with area residents and fellow researchers.
