Canadian Census Index for 1891

During the past few years, the Regina Branch has compiled indexes of the 1891 census of the Northwest Territories of Canada. In 1891, the Northwest Territories included several present-day provinces and territories: part of Manitoba, all of Saskatchewan, Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Each index includes a thorough introduction which describes the district and the census in detail.

We continue to sell the first four books in this series with the assistance of the SGS Library. These are the Districts of Assiniboia East, Assiniboia West, Saskatchewan and Alberta. The final volume, The Unorganized Territories, is soon to be released.
