Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the late W. Norman and Mary (McKiel) Zwicker. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are sons, Peter, Canmore, Alta.; Richard (Janet), Halifax; daughter, Susan Rubin (Edwin), Halifax; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Born in Charleston, Queens Co., he was the son of the late Ephiram and Eunice (Nauldrett) Zwicker. He served in the Merchant Marine during the Second World War. He worked for British America Oil on their tankers as a cook from 1952-1963. He then worked for National Sea Products until retiring in 1976. He enjoyed bingo, cards, gardening and country music. He was also a handyman and outdoorsman. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila and husband Peter Hannam, East Port Medway; son-in- law, Laurie Vaughan, Toronto; sister, Margaret Smith, Mahone Bay; grandchildren, Timothy, Susan, Jeffery, Derrick, Todd and John; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kendra, Jayden; great great-grandchildren Madison and Noah. Ann, as known to family and friends, led an extraordinary life, from being born and raised in England with her brothers and sisters , Derek and the late Ronald Landers, Elsie Shand and the late Gladys Lindsay, to enlisting in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force during the Second World War (1941-1945). She married the late Archie Boutilier in London in 1946, and traveled as a war bride on the Queen Mary, overseas, to settle in Cape Breton that same year. Starting a family that has three loving children, eldest son, Keith, daughter, Gillian, and son, Clive and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Scott, Corey, Wyatt and Alexandrea, who will forever remain in her debt. Ann traveled many miles before settling in Kincardine, Ont. amongst a multitude of friends, to whom the family is eternally grateful for their kindness and support. He served in the Royal Canadian Army, with the rank of Sergeant, from 1939-1945, during the Second World War, with overseas duties in Sicily and Italy. He also worked with the Nova Scotia Power Commission for 27 years, retiring in 1983, due to ill health. He had many hobbies, some of which were hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards, country music, animals, and in his younger years playing hockey. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Born September 29, 1951, in Windsor, he was a son of the late Harold "Pick" Lawrence Rafuse. Mike had a great love for Country Music and played in several bands over the years. He was always humming and singing around the house and also had a song for his friends. Mike's other passions in his life were his wife, children and grandchildren who were the apple of his eye, his mother, brothers, all his friends and his best friend "Farrah" Mike worked several jobs during his life, driving ambulance for McCarthy's and later Arsenault's Ambulance. He was co-owner of Rafuse Taxi and Restaurant. As assistant manager, Mike was a professionalist at his job at Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, helping many friends who were his family away from home. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed boxing, hockey (Toronto Maple Leafs), baseball and in his earlier years he played minor and junior hockey, winning Nova Scotia Championships at the age of 14. Born 1900 in Halifax, she was the youngest daughter of the late Agnes Bee Silver and Harold St. Clair Silver. She was a graduate of the Halifax Ladies College. She married Col. G.N. Dickenson R.C.E. in 1920. When he retired they moved to Duncan, B.C. After his death she moved to Victoria where she lived until returning to Halifax in 1993. She was a member, active fundraiser and participant of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of the Nova Scotia, she enjoyed and played bridge with her friends, she was a family person who enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Her many years at Shoreham Village Home enabled her to participate and enjoy the friendship of the many residents, employees and the many volunteers and their activities. She will be sorely missed by everyone. Born in Lunenburg, he was a son of the late Charles Reuben and Lottie Leone (Knickle) Knickle. Bill served in the Royal Canadian Army during the Second World War. After the war he returned to Lunenburg and worked as a purchasing agent for National Sea Products Ltd. until his retirement. He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg and a member of Unity Lodge 4 of the Masonic Order. He was also a founding member of the Lunenburg Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23, Lunenburg.
