She was a school teacher for 27 years, having taught in Queens County, Stellarton, Lunenburg and a number of schools in Shelburne County. She was a member of Central United Church, Lunenburg; Margaret R. Unit of the UCW, and served on various committees within the church, as well as teaching Sunday school for a number of years. She was also a member of First Ragged Island Baptist Church, Osborne Harbour, and the WMS. She was a member of Bluenose Senior Citizens' Club, Lunenburg, and Sea Spray Senior Citizens' Club in the Little Harbour area, Shelburne Co. Surviving are her husband, Ernest, Lunenburg; son, Charles, New Minas; sister, Ruth (Mrs. Stanley Freeman), Milton, Queens Co.; brother, William Matthew, Little Harbour; 16 nieces and nephews. He was well known in Lunenburg County for his Jersey cows and his association with the South Shore Exhibition for the past 46 years, 25 of which he was president. He was twice past president of Federation of Agriculture and 25 years as chairman of the Livestock Sales in Bridgewater. He was also past secretary of Lunenburg County Milk and Cream Producers and a member of Nova Scotia Milk Producers Association. He, with his son Robert, owned and operated LaHave River Jersey Farm and this year was awarded the Dairy Award of Excellence. She was a former member of the Waegwoltic Club and Saraguay Club. She was a member of Bethany United Church. Paulette will be remembered first and foremost as being devoted to her family. She loved to be with her family and was an affectionate wife, mother and grandmother. She also had a big heart and no one, whose privilege it was to know her, is likely to forget her concern for others and the warm and glowing brightness of her friendship. Donald was born in Middleton, a son of the late Kenneth and Edna (Ward) Eisner. Donald was president of Tallships Inc., an internet service company proudly serving the South Shore. He is survived by his wife, the former Joan Williams; sons, Mark and wife Marisa, Bridgewater; Ken and wife Tina, Lunenburg; brothers, Douglas and wife Jackie, Darrell and wife Beverly, Richard and wife Lynne, all of Halifax; Robert and wife Rosemarie, Regina; sister, Neva Bruce, Ottawa, and a number of nieces and nephews. Donald will be remembered by his family and many friends for his zest for life, his love for people, his interest in people, entertaining and gardening. He will be greatly missed by his three beloved Siamese cats.
