    • Webmaster Note:
      • The above towns are listed in the order that they appear on
seperate early 1900's maps (as noted). For Manitoba and Alberta,
the use of the online early 1930s CNR maps and the 1922 Atlas Map
is noted. For Saskatchewan the same two maps, along with the
1924 SWP Map was used to identify the Alphabetical place names

      • The alphabet naming of places along the rail line was dependent
upon the date the CNR track was laid, as well as the date which
the particular place name was settled.

      • There are some place names appearing on the rail line which do not appear
        alphabetically:
Some place names may have changed names, so therefore those in the 'apparent'
wrong order, may have a name change newer than that of the original rail line.

      • There are some letters of the Alphabet unaccounted for from these three maps:
Some place names or 'Sidings' may not have a settlement to appear on any of the
three maps used to compile the above listing.

      • The Alberta rail line West of Edmonton was named mainly from the 1922 Atlas
as the CN map already had too many place names established, and the original
        Alphabet stations became obscure.
