Kingston Ledgers

There are two ledgers and we will refer to them and number 1
& 2
This section will undergo format and content changes on a regular basis, all pages are posted in the same order as they are found in the ledgers
Kingston Ledger 1
The first few pages of this ledger have grocery related newspaper articles pasted over the columns, therefore the first entry is January 18, 1862, page 4
Kingston Ledger 2
Various scans from front section
The next images have been copied on a digital copier at a size reduction of 64% to help save wear on the ledgers. I then scanned the copies at 300 dpi. The result was a higher resolution at a smaller file size. I will be posting the rest of the ledgers in this format. My plan is to start at the beginning of this ledger and post the pages, which list groups of names. Individual account sheets will be omitted. My purpose with this work is to show the names of people that were customers of this Kingston merchant during the 1850 60s.
Each image is 200 - 250 KB. A bit of the right hand column is cut off in each image. This was my intention (to have the text size suit me) as the debit/credit information is not important to me.
