|Items of interest to Claffeys:
Film #1279227 available through your local LDS library covers 1830 thru
1916 (some 1820's too) baptisms, marriages and deaths and burials for the
Catholic parish of Moate and Mount Temple which covers parts of civil
parishes in Co. Westmeath and Co. Offaly.
This must be the mother lode for Claffeys---there are many, many Claffeys listed.

|My Annie Claffey didn't come to the U.S.
Her daughter, Annie Byrnes (Brown) Burns (she married Brown, then Burns)
came to the U.S. in 1886. Her death certificate in New York
indicates she was born in Ireland to Michell (Michael) Byrnes and Annie
in Sept of 1861, so would assume Claffey and Byrnes were born in the 1830-40's.
Annie Byrnes married John Burns, of Coleraine, Ireland, in the U.S. 1880-1881.

James Claffey, miller; Miss Sarah M. Claffy; Miss Ellen A. Claffy, Michael.
They appear to be the children(?) of Daniel Claffy and Elizabeth Delany
Claffy who were married 16 Nov 1835. Daniel died 11 Jan 1864. Other
possible children are Hugh and Bridget Claffy.
