The 1850 Alabama census lists John R. Claffey in Jackson Co. My research indicates this might be a misspelled surname and is actually a man named John R. Caffey. If you can shed any light on this question I would appreciate it. |
In Tallapaloosa, Alabama, Mathew Claffey married Sarah H. Calloway on 22 Aug 1844. Ref. LDS film. |
A man named Claffy M. Tillman died in Mobile, Alabama 11 June 1910. Does anyone know his Claffy connection--was this his mother's maiden name? Who was she? |

Notes: 01-Per information provided by Frank J. Claffee on 1930 census. 02-Per information provided by Frank J. Claffee on 1930 census. 03-Frank J. Claffee and wife Mildred divorced and he moved to New Orleans where he worked as the Manager of a Dog Hotel. This is not the Frank J.
