Lula Cutting

Lula Cutting of Visalia, CA passed away on November 14, 2004 at the age of 88.
She was born on July 8, 1916 in Colorado to William and Mary Clinkenbeard. Lula
spent most of her girlhood in Berryille, Arkansas until her family decide to
move to Modesto, CA in 1926. On October 5, 1937 she married her true love,
Kenneth Cutting in Modesto, CA. They then moved to Merced, CA where they lived
for 58 years. Eventually Lula and Kenneth settled in Visalia in 1995 to be
closer to their daughter Joan Fischer. Lula attended Modesto Jr. College,
California State University, Stanislaus, Fresno State University , and
ultimately obtained a Master's Degree in music. She became a teacher and taught
for the Merced School District for 20 years. Lula faithfully played the organ
for the Central Presbyterian Church of Merced for 25 years. Additionally, she
was a member of The American Guild of Organists and a member of the Retired
Teachers Association. Lula touched many lives, and for that, she will be greatly
missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Cutting on February 4, 2001. She is survived by her 2 children, Joan Fischer and husband Joe of Visalia, CA, and William V. Cutting and wife Wendy of Sequim, WA, her 5 grandchildren, Joe Fisher Jr. of Visalia, Kathleen Fischer of Los Angeles, CA, Karen Yohannes and husband John of Visalia, and Lauren and Allison Cutting of Sequim, WA, her 5 great-grandchildren, Ashley Pendegraft and husband Sasha, Sarah and Amy Fischer, and Zachary and Eileen Yohannes, all of Visalia, her 2 great, great grandchildren, Chloe and Kari Pendegraft of Visalia, CA, her sister Mae Connerly and husband Lloyd of Willits, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at 1:00 pm at the
First Presbyterian Church of Visalia.Burial will be at Visalia District
Cemetery.In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World vision, Attn: In
