Doris Luella Weeks

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stratford Evans Merced
Funeral Chapel for Doris Luella Weeks, 67, a retired Merced High School
secretary and counselor who died Sunday in her home.
Bob Storm at First Church of Christ Scientist and Order of the Eastern Star will
officiate.
Born Feb. 15, 1921 in South Bend, Wash., Mrs. Weeks lived in this community for
37 years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Ladies of the Oriental
Shrine, Sons of Norway and Merced Women’s Club. She also was an officer and
secretary for First Church of Christ Scientist.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Weeks of Merced; a son, Barry Weeks of
Merced; a daughter, Stephanie Davis of Chico; her mother, Torsey Rever of Napa;
a sister, Irene Pina of Rutherford; and four grandchildren.
Friends may visit the funeral home from noon until 9 p.m. Wednesday and before
services Thursday.
