Julia Marie Hixon, a longtime Merced County resident passed away December 22,
2006 peacefully in her home. Julia was born in Louisville, Kentucky on July 10,
1927, where she was raised. she was a devoted member of the Catholic Church.
She was a girl scout leader and worked as a book keeper for the Atwater Fruit
Exchange for over ten years. She was a genealogist for over twenty-five years.
She had the satisfaction of achieving her goal of gaining membership for her
daughters in the local D.A.R.
Julia is survived by her two daughters, Linda Kulbeth of Atwater and Cynda
Harrigan of Ione, CA, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her
beloved pet cat Clark. she will be missed by her family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation on Thurs. 12/28/06 from 9
a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at
10 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 12/28/06 at St.
Anthony's Catholic Church in Atwater. Burial will be at Winton District
Cemetery.
