The Epitaphs to the memorials on the south wall of the Church 


In memory of RICHARD, Son of 
SAMUEL WOOD of HALIFAX, who di- 
ed Sepr 10th 1788 in the 28th year of his
age, and SUSE, only child of the 
above RICHARD WOOD, died at 
HOLBECK near LEEDS Aprl 15th 1806
in the 21st year of her age.

The above plate is fixed to – and obscures – the larger stone below

Body [          ] Samuel 
Wood [          ] depart- 
ed this [          ]f Februy
1756, Aged nine Months and 
three days.
Likewise the Body of Elisabeth, 
Wife of the said Samuel Wood, 
who departed this life the 20th
day of Octr 1759, Aged 39 years.
