Bilberry Hall Pleasure Grounds, Greetland

An image of Bilberry Hall Pleasure Grounds, Greetland

Can you identify the subject of this photograph which is captioned Stainland or Barkisland Village Fair?

Sandra Carr and Elizabeth Mell
believe that the photograph could be at Nont Sarah's Pub at Outlane.

Sandra writes

I believe that the photograph could be at Nont Sarah's Pub at Outlane. They were there for many years and our family used to catch the bus from West Vale to Nont Sarah's for our annual summer walk, from Nont Sarah's, across the moor to Dean Head, where my Aunt Mary Sutcliffe had a CAFE (written in big letters on the side of the building), then known as Greenfield Lodge, Dean Head. This was between 1950-55

Elizabeth writes

I remember going on swinging boats such as these at Nont Sarah's as a very small child in the early 1950s. I used to stay with friends of my grandmother in West Vale

It has also been suggested that it may be Bilberry Hall pleasure grounds.
