Hints for a successful search.

• Some bios are listed, for example, Smith, Jr., John or Smith, John, Jr., same with Sr. or Mrs., check both ways.

• You might find two bios for the same person listed different ways. A person’s bio may be listed in two or more books and listed with the first name or initials, check both ways.

• A business could be listed ‘Bank of Willits’ or ‘Willits Bank’; A. J. Moore and Company could be listed as Moore. A. J. and Company, check both ways.

• The main thing is to check ALL combinations you can think of.

• Also look in both Sections of bios.
