Agnes Buckreus

Agnes married widower Frank Pondelick at the age of 31, and helped him raise two daughters from his first marriage.

Frank emigrated to America at the age of 20 after learning the tailor's trade in Prague. In addition to being employed as a tailor in Hartford, Frank owned a saloon for many years, and was a charter member of the Hartford Fire Department, the St. Kilian's Society, and the Catholic Knights.

Frank was first married to Caroline Kuhns (1872). She died in 1879. They had four children: Victoria, Helen, Anna and Caroline. [I will provide information on the descendants of Frank and Caroline at a later time.]
