CEMETERY SURVEY
This cemetery survey includes burials prior to 1971. A few after that date have been added, but not all. The transcription was compiled by the Bethel Youth Fellowship in 1971, under the leadership of Jerry S. Nix.
The oldest grave found in this cemetery is that of Tn. C. Smith, who died in 1821 at the age of 13. Many of the markings on the stones can no longer be read. Fifty-three graves are marked only by field stones. The compilation also includes information taken from an early survey (1938) which includes names for which there are no longer stones.
Several dates on the survey appear to be in obvious error and are noted. If the dates on the survey do not seem reasonable, the actual tombstone information should be verified by the researcher.
