100 DOLLARS REWARD

RANAWAY from the subscriber, on or about the 1st of March, a ____ Mulatto Man called WATT, 20 or 21 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 8 inches high, well made and rather handsome, he has __ few spots on his face, similar to ring worms, his hair short and nappy.  Watt when spoken to has a clean ____ countenance and speaks in a low voice.  He has some relations at Mr. Foxall's, in Georgetown, and a free brother in Baltimore, where he will probably endeavor to reach.  It is likely he will have a pass, as some of his relations read and write.   The above reward will be given for apprehending and securing him in any jail and giving information immediately.  Owners of vessels and others are forewarned from employing or harboring said fellow at their peril.

RAN AWAY from the subscriber, living in Port Tobacco, Maryland, on the 13th instant, my negro boy slave, named William, he is of a bright yellow complexion, about seventeen or eighteen years of age, four feet ten or eleven inches high, stout and well proportioned a little inclined to be bow legged; his hair nearly straight; is an excellent house servant and waiter, and unusually smart and intelligent for one of his color.  As I have not heard of him since he eloped, I have thought it probable he will attempt to get to some non-slaveholding state, and on his way thither will pass through the District of Columbia, where he has relations living, or Baltimore-probably both of these places.  Whoever will apprehend said runaway, and confine him in jail so that I get him again, shall receive, if taken in Charles County, twenty dollars, if taken out of Charles County, the above reward.

FIFTY DOLLARS REWARD

WILL be given for the apprehension of my negro man Stephen Hall, who left my service on Thursday the 1st instant.  He is about 29 years of age, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, of dark copper complexion, and has a very notable scar on his chin, occasioned by the kick of a horse.  He has relations in Pomonkey and in Washington, among whom he may be lurking at present, but he will probably attempt to Pennsylvania, as he went off for no greater provocation than the correction of a son, a small lad.  I will give ten dollars for his delivery to me, or commitment to jail, if taken in Charles County, and thirty dollars if taken in the District of Columbia, or within forty miles of home, and fifty dollars if taken beyond that distance.

$100 REWARD

RANAWAY or was decoyed from my plantation on the 26th September last, negro Charlotte, aged 17 or 18 years, genteel in her person, and approaching to black, by a dark mulatto fellow, named Sam Ellis, who has lost a part of his nose, said he was raised in or about Richmond, Va. I will give 75 dollars for the girl, no matter where taken, so that I get her again and 25 dollars for Sam.

$200 REWARD-I will give two hundred dollars reward for the apprehension and delivery to me in person of my three negro men, Daniel, Edward, and Sewall.

Daniel is a mulatto, from 40 to 45 years of age, about 6 feet high, rather slender, but well made.  He formerly belonged to the estate of the late Robert Davis, near Charlotte Hall, St. Mary's County. He left in September, 1844.

Edward is of a copper color, about 25 years of age, about 5 feet 6 to 10 inches high, stout and well made. I purchased this fellow of the estate of the late Lyttleton T. Adams.  He left on the 25th instant.

Sewall is black, about 32 or 33 years of age, about 5 feet 6 to 11 inches high, well made.  He left some time in January last.

The above reward will be given for the three, or $100 for Daniel and $50 for either of the other two, no matter where taken, upon their delivery to me in person, or secured in jail, so that I get them again.
