On Tuesday morning, March 16, there passed away at the residence of his son, Herman Brewer, Brewer Mills, one of the oldest residents of this vicinity in the person of Amasa Brewer, who died in his 92nd year. He is survived by three sons, Herman, with whom he resided, Burton, of Brewer Mills, and Alexander, of Marysville, and one daughter Mrs. Samuel Staples of Zealand. The funeral was held from the late home on Wednesday, March 17th, with services conducted by Rev. E.D. McQueen of Zealand. A large number of friends and relatives gathered at the house of the service. The pallbearers were four grandsons of the deceased, Amasa and Sheldon Staples, and William and Eugene Noble of Caribou, Me. Interment was at St. Paul's Cemetery, Zealand.
