Brewer

b. before 1740
  • Brewer was born before 1740 and probably between 1720 and 1740.
  • He is the father of brothers, Samuel Brewer of Mercer Co., Kentucky, and Peter Brewer of Hardin Co., Kentucky. In 1832, Peter Brewer was deposed regarding the Revolutionary War service of his brother, Samuel Brewer. He is possibly the father of Benjamin Brewer (b. 1755) who may be a brother of the brothers, Samuel and Peter Brewer.
  • His given name is not known, but it is possible that his wife was named, Mary. A Mary Brewer is found on the 1783 tax assessment at Huntington, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania. Following Mary Brewer, on the list, is Peter Brewer, who is described as single.1
  • Benjamin(?) Brewer and Brewer, may be one and the same. (The father of brothers, Peter and Samuel Brewer, may also be the father of probable brothers, Benjamin and Henry Brewer).

Sadly, I saw the posting several months after it had been posted. Fortunately, the person who posted the info did transcribe the entries. This may have the only known clue to Aaron's parents in-law. I have come to think that Aaron & David's wives, both Woodwards, may not have been siblings, but perhaps aunt & niece or first cousins once removed, given the difference in ages."
