This is an error, as Nicholas Brouwer's daughter Elizabeth clearly married John Parcell, with the sponsors for some of their children being members of the Nicholas Brouwer-Jannetje Caljer family. It is apparent from the appearance of Abraham Brouwer, Jr. as a sponsor for this couple's daughter, Elizabeth in 1727, that Elizabeth, wife of Jacobus Bennet, is actually the daughter of Abraham Brouwer and Cornelia Caljer.

No record of baptism is found for a son named Jan, and there is no named Jan as a party in the deed of 1743 by which heirs of Adriaen Bennet, by quit-claim deed, acknowledged property to their brother, Arie Bennet (a Jan Bennet did witness the deed).
