Isaac White is on the tax lists of Georges Twp, Fayette co., PA for the years 1787, 1788 and 1789 with no land. .In each year he is listed directly next to the name of his brother, Abraham White. The name Rachel White appears in 1798, 1799 and 1800. In 1801 the land owned by Abraham White changed to John White. In the will of Isaac's father-in-law, John Carr, Rachel Carr is to receive grain from her brothers Absalom and Elisha for "as long as she remains Isaac White's widow". This will was written January 7, 1792.
Isaac White is in the census records of Fayette co., PA for 1790 The household has one male over 21, one male under 21, and two females.

Minutes of the 11th annual meeting of the
Silver Creek Cemetery Association in 1886,
published in the National Democrat newspaper in Jeffersonville, Indianaon May
21, 1886
"The names of John and Hannah White are found here upon two tombstones,
marking their graves. John White was born in Pennsylvania. He was the son of a
sister of Col. Thomas Carr Sr., who died in Pennsylvania. He and two sisters
came from Pennsylvania with Col. Thomas Carr, Sr., who cared for them. Mr. White
married Miss Hannah Carr, a daughter of Elisha Carr, Sr. He was a tanner by
trade. He bought Mr. Jeremiah Payne’s farm on Sinking Fork in 1822, where he
lived until his death. C. C. White, his son, owned the same farm afterwards.
Mary White, John White’s sister, was the wife of Jesse Coombs, the father of our
President, Dr. D. H. Coombs."
