Christian (448), b. Sept. 2, 1771; d. Sept. 9, 1855; m. 1794, Catherine Groff
(dau. of Rev. H. Groff), who was b. 1770, and d. 1832. William G., son of
Bernardus, went first to Indiana about 1826, and Bernardus followed him about
1830, taking up land within a few miles of Bunker Hill. Bernardus was always
called "Uncle Barney."
