According to her death record, Esther Russell was 59 when she died on 14 Sep 1788, thus she was probably born about 1729. (1)  Since her first child, Abigail Hotchkiss, was baptized 6 May 1748, it is assumed Esther Russell married Joseph Hotchkiss around 1746. The source of her parentage comes from The Descendants of Wiliam and Elizabeth Tuttle. (2) There is a church record in New Haven of an "Hester Russell" being baptized in 1727, but Esther Russell in every other church record went by the name of Esther. (3)
