Louise's husband, Malcom Poole, disappeared in the Mexican Revolution.  In 1910 she and her sister, Lucy Prescott Moore, went down to Mexico looking for him, but he was never found.  The two American women were rounded up in some containment camp for foreigners for their own protection and it was there that Lucy met her future husband, John Ernest Shaw.     Eugene Malcom Poole, her husband, however was not deceased.  The family oral history says he was never found.  However, he fathered a child with another woman born in Chihuahua, Mexico in Feb of 1908.  See page for Malcom Poole for more information.

Louise and her two daughters continued to live with her parents in Bellevue.
