Other information came from a bible record. A copy of this bible was found in the Sullivan County Library, Indiana. As shown above, in it is stated, "John Hopewell was my grandfather." Immediately following is " John Hopewell was born Feb 23 1816 John Hopewell Died July 10th 1901." We are assuming this John Hopewell was the grandson of the Revolutionary John Hopewell.
