Portsmouth Daily Times Feb 7, 1895In the will of Ruth Hannahs Porter, who raised Susan Hannahs, Ruth left her gold watch to her niece, Susan, with the provision that Susan give her own watch to her "Sister Sarah."
According to the Portsmouth Times of Jan 6, 1894, "Sallie J. Hannahs is Mrs. Monnett, living in Columbus." This was in an article about students who had attended the Bigelow Sabbath School Twenty Three Years Ago.
Monnet Family Genealogy by Orra Eugene Monnette 1911 says Sarah Hannahs was born May 6, 1860 It also says George E. Monnet was a cabinet maker of Columbus, OH His brother Charles W. was a drummer boy in the Union Army during the War of the Rebellion. Brother, Henry, was General Passenger Agent of the New York Central Railroad Company, Brother, Elliot Tyler, Railroad Passenger Agent at Chicago, Illinois. Sarah H. Monnett have two daughters, Grace E., b. Oct 25, 1891, and Naomi, b.
Oct. 2, 1893. He was a cabinet maker."
