Robert Hannah was born 17 Aug 1767 in Charles County, MD. (1) It is assumed he married his wife Mary about 1790.  Robert Hannah was listed on the 1790 tax list for Henry Co. VA. (2)  They then moved to Stokes County, NC. (3) From the census records we know that their children Elizabeth, b 1792, George b. 1797 and Alexander b. 1804 were born in NC. (4) By about 1807 they had moved to Greenup County, KY. (5) They had about 9 children.  Four of them were listed in the 1810 census. The male under 10 was Alexander and the male 10-15 was George.  (6) This precludes John Hannah from being a son of Robert Hannah.
Robert Hannah died in Greenup County, KY before 2 Feb 1829 as his widow, Mary, filed an inventory for his estate on that date. (7) Mary, his widow, died in Greenup before 7 Apr 1857 when her son-in-law, William Deering, filed the estate. (8)  Eight children were listed in the settlement of the estate of his widow, Mary Hannah.
