About 1900 an Emma Groeninger married Charles Brown
In the 1930 census this Emma says she was first married at
age 17 which would have been about 1892
In the same census Charles says he was 24 at his first marriage which would have
been about 1900.

b. about 1877
Maggie appears in the city directories living with Henry
until about 1915. After that she and her daughter are sometimes listed at
a different address from Henry.

In the 1917 city directory Leona is a cigar maker living at
1025 W Michigan.

Henry was still a teenager when his parents died. After that he lived at the same address as his guardian, Philip Best. When he was about 22 he married Emma Huschlor and worked as a molder. He then is at the same address for two years, but in 1894 he moves to a different address and Emma is not living with him. She is listed as either a warper or spooler. living alone, from 1894-1900. Around 1900 she married Charles Brown.
At about the same time Henry went into partnership with his brother Andrew running a saloon. But Andrew died in 1903 and Henry went back to being a molder. He married Maggie Engle in 1904, but their daughter Leona was born in 1902. He is sometimes listed as living with Maggie through 1915. In the 1920 city directory Henry and Maggie are listed together at 506 S 6th, but the 1920 census lists Maggie living with her mother at 1025 Michigan. In 1933 she is listed as Marg. widow of Henry, spooler, r. 2125 W. .
