Christina Graninger was confirmed into the Smithfield United Church of Christ in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 4, 1844 along with her brother, George Graninger. The family moved to Jackson, Harrison County, Indiana by 1850 and Christina is found again in the 1850 census aged 18.
