From the Liberty Tribune August 19, 1943 "Oscar Deering, an excellent blacksmith, with a wife and five children made their home in Greenville several years."

"Sarah Ann Dagley, third child born to James and Darcus, was born in 1824 and married Oscar Fitzallen Deering on March 3, 1842. Oscar Deering was born in 1819 and died in 1897 and is buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Sarah died in 1886 and is also buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Sarah Ann and Oscar were the parent of five children
1. John T. Deering who went to El Paso, Texas
2. Mattie Deering who married a King and they live in Clay County, Missouri
3. Louella Deering who married Abe Scruggs and they went to Annville, Pennsylvania
4. Fred Deering who had a daughter, Mina Welthisss, of Sacremento, California
5. Sarah Fitzallen Deering married Enos Davidson Dickey on March 17, 1861, and they were the parents of six children: William Oscar Dickey of Cass County, MO.; Walter Dickey; Charles Dickey; Mollie Ray Dickey who married Andrew Jackson Jones; Verlinda who married Richard Jones on 2/22/1880; and Maud Dickey who died on June 9, 1882.
William Oscar Dickey married Rose Baker and their son, Ernest Dickey, is the father of Bill J. Dickey of Clay County, Missouri."
