Dear Sue: I was looking at your website today, and noticed that you list four children of Yelverton Crowell and Hannah Adams. One of these four children, Seth Crowell, is my direct ancestor. He had two wives. I descended from his second wife, Ellison, Allison, or Else Eddy, by Edward Crowell. This Edward Crowell was married to a woman named Sarah. Do you know her maiden name? I believe that they had eight children: Joanna, born 28 April 1765; Benjamin; David; Samuel; Isheah; Abner; and two unnamed sons. I descended from Benjamin Crowell, born about 1767, and died September 1801 in Morristown, New Jersey. His wife was Mary or Martha Bond. Their daughter, Sarah Crowell, married Abraham Shotwell Buswell, my 2nd great grandfather. Abraham Shotwell Buswell was born in about 1801 or 1802, and died in New York City 1 January 1832, at the age of 30.
