Abraham Lincoln Bronson enlisted out of Indianapolis under Capt. Black on March 11, 1899. The record says he was born in White Co., TN. He is a clerk, blue eyes, ruddy complexion, 5'5". He was discharged March 12, 1902 at Ft. Snelling, Minn. Under "remarks" is written "excelt."
Even though he was in the army from 1899 to 1902, he is still listed in the 1900 census for Franklin, Johnson Co., IN as single, a boarder, working as a salesman.
In 1910 he is still single, a farm hand, and marked "no" under the column as to whether employed on April 15 of that year.
