This week the family of Stout Barklow received a letter containing the news of the death, in Laytonville Cal., of Mrs. Sarah W. Delaney, on April 16. She was a sister of Stout and Edward Barklow of this city. Mrs. Delaney was born in October, 1827. She married to William Delaney of the old Gaylord rolling mill, in 1849, and afterwards moved to Laytonville, Mendocina county, Cal. The husband has been dead several years. The deceased woman intended leaving home on visit to this city, when she was stricken with paralysis, which soon ended her life. She has four daughters two of whom are unmarried."
