John & Eliza Jane BrazzleJohn Brazzell was born August 8, 1848 in Greene Co, Indiana according to his obituary. He married Eliza Jane Fancher in Harrison Co, Missouri (Recorder of Deeds, Bethany, Mo- Marriage Book B at page 175) on December 23, 1869. He died on January 15, 1934 and Eliza died (her obituary) on April 17, 1949; both are buried in the Harper, Kansas cemetery. John's obituary tells that he was a soldier in the Civil War and at the time of his death was one of only two remaining Civil War soldiers in Harper County, Kansas.

On the back of the picture of John and Eliza Jane (on the left) was the notation: "from Anna Elmore to Uncle Joshua Brazzell".

In the 'History of Harrison County, Missouri Churches' it is noted that Mr. and Mrs. John Brazel were early members of the Hatfield United Methodist Church. The church was built in 1901 in Hatfield, Harrison Co, Missouri by the United Brethren in Christ.

John and Eliza had 8 children of whom 2 died in infancy(per obituary).

Ida Brazzle was born about 1871 and died about 1929. She married Frank Quillen

Anna Brazzle who married Jesse Elmore. Jesse and Anna are buried in the Allen Cemetery, Harrison County, Missouri. Tombstone inscriptions are: Jesse B. Elmore, 1885 - 1962; Anna M Elmore, 1881 - 1929.

George Victor Brazzle who married Nelly Busby

Ara C. Brazzle was born February 8, 1884 in Harrison Co, Missouri and married Mr. ? Timmons. The birth record states her name is Catharine Ira Brazzell; father's age was 34, mother's age was 32; was their 7th child; their residence was Ninou Twp, Mo.
