Biography :
Pierre Pillet from
Door Co.
Pierre Pillet was born in Belgium and emigrated with wife Eleanore and children to Red River, Kewaunee Co., Wisconsin. The 1860 census gives his age as 57 and Eleanor 60 thus being born about 1803. I find a Peter Pilet 56 y.o. and wife Eleonore 60 y.o. in the 1870 Red River census, so being born about 1814. I find a Peter Pilet, 60 y.o. and wife Lenora, 64 y.o. born Belgium in the 1880 census of Ayr, Adams Co., Nebraska, so being born about 1816. He state in the Home records in 1904 being 84 y.o. so being born about 1820. No trace of him in the 1900 census, but he state being a widower with no relatives when entering the Home. He died of old age on February 14, 1908. He is buried in the Home cemetery Block 17 n° 18.
