carried on muster roll as "Peter Jaques"
He state having emigrated in 1852 and in 1868, Peter Jacques was married to "Theresa" from Belgian parentage, having emigrated herself in 1855. They settled in Little Suamico, Oconto County. They had five or six children following the sources. I found the names of Louisa, John, Hattie(or Affie), Augusta, Charles and Constance. In his application for a pension in 1881, Peter stated of suffering from dyspepsia, occurred in Huntsville, Alabama, in July 1862.
He was admitted in the Soldiers' Home in 1895 but I find him in the 1900 census living in Milwaukee with his wife. He died in the Soldiers' Home on December 23, 1904 and is buried in the Home Cemetery Block 14 n° 226. His wife asked for a widow pension in January 1905. No other information.
