Biography :

John Kocher 18th Wisconsin Infantry, residence Milwaukee. A pension application was filled in December 1862. First admitted in the Home in August 1868, but only for two days.  Admitted February 2, 1871for disability “gun shot side”. Died of consumption June 23, same year. Interred Home cemetery Block 23, row 1. A pension for minor was filled in October 1872 and accepted.

No other information. The Kocher I found in the Milwaukee 1860 census, Oak Creek, was from Hannover (Germany) with wife and two children. In 1870 he stated being from Switzerland!
