Biography :
Arrived in New Orleans in 1855 on ship Vaucluse. From there, went and settled in
Oconto, Wisconsin.
Enlisted in Captain Southward Company for 3 years. He was discharged near Memphis, Tenn., having done no duty for six months because of lameness (stomach wound) incured while in the service; also on account of old age.
He died in 1869 never having recovered from the wounds. He was buried in Wisconsin and was later removed to Vancouver, Clark Couty, Washington. His wife, Anne Josephe Jeanquart died in Oregon in 1890. Both are buried in in the St James Acres Catholic Cemetery, Vancouver.
