Very few information found. No other Cofnert found in the U.S. He was born about 1816, a single with no relationship. Filed a pension as soon as January 1865, was in Soldiers' Home for more than thirty years, from 1870 till his death on August 5, 1902. Buried Home cemetery Block M section 21 grave 17.
