John B Collignon. He asked for admittance in the National Home for disabled soldiers on August 1883, transportation furnished from Hillsborough, Ohio, suffering from pneumonia, but was rejected and dropped from the role three days later. He stated being a resident of Samantha, Highland County, Ohio, 58 y.o., occupation farmer, married, with wife Emma living in Bellevue, Kentucky.
John B Collignon emigrated in 1854 at the age of 29 on board ship Julia, arriving at New York on April 17. He was with his wife Maria 28 y.o. and son Joseph 2 y.o. No trace of them in 1860 but in 1870 they were settled in Penn Township, Highland County, Ohio with Joseph 18 y.o. and more children: James 15, Mary 13, August 11 and John 6. They lived in the same place till after 1880. He was widowed about that year as he state wife name in 1883 being Emma from Kentucky. His death occured about 1889 as Emma sent that year, from Indiana a pension, application. One year latter, it was his daughter(?) Emma Smith who applied for a pension for minor children, again filled in Indiana. No further information.
