Biography :
Was admitted in the Togus, Maine, Soldier Home in April 1867, transferred to
Dayton in February 1868. The only information given is for him being born
Belgium, 57 y.o. when entering the Home and residing in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, all the other information was left blank. He died on August 9,
1882 from chronic diarrhea and is buried Section C - 16, grave 8. No other
Derra from Belgium found in the censuses.
