Biography :
Until I’m able to have access to his records and pension files, I’m unable to
find any information concerning Charles Office. No such last name is pertaining
to any Belgian emigrant, no information found in the censuses, no emigration
information. Only his Soldiers' Home registering stating he was born Belgium,
being 61 y.o. when entering the Home in 1905, also being a seaman, living in
Chicago, a widower with nearest relative John Schultz, 569 17” Street Chicago,
Illinois. He left the Home in 1907 at his own request. The Charles Office I
found in the censuses where not fitting by their birth and place born with the
information given by the Soldiers' Home.
