17, 1865 at New York as Sergeant Co. C, 29 US Infantry, term expired August 17,
1868 Tennessee. Re-enrolled Sept. 17, 1868, Carlyle Pa, Co. C 3rd US Cavalry,
term expired out Sept. 17, 1873 as Sergeant. Cheyenne, Indian Territory.
When entering the Home in April 1899 he stated being a cook, a widower living in New Orleans, daughter Henriette L.E. (Fowler) living in Baltimore, nearest relative Henry Hellman, 433 St Charles St. New Orleans. Died at Home August 12, 1900. Buried Home cemetery Block M Section 8 Grave 28.
